Three creative rooms. The sorting room orders papers by lightness and intensity, the illusion room changes the surroundings, the print room repairs poster contrast.
Experience colour first.
Let the model follow.

Today, Play, the open Studio and the seven-phase journey. Actual app screens from version 1.3.
A student can name every harmony on the wheel and still miss how a colour changes in context. Colour Studio starts with something ordinary, lets an expectation fail in a useful way, then offers a model to test. The explanation answers a question the student has just experienced.
Three creative rooms. The sorting room orders papers by lightness and intensity, the illusion room changes the surroundings, the print room repairs poster contrast.
Every completed mission adds a composition to a personal exhibition. Hints, undo and replay are there. No timers, no lives to lose.
Perception is relative, what colour is, how you see it, how to describe it, how colours relate, how context changes them, and what they mean in use.
The open Studio stays available from the first launch. If an exercise feels hard, the phase before it has the idea you need.
Field tasks send you after a colour under real light, or ask you to rescue a poster, measured with real WCAG contrast ratios.
No account and no network calls. Studies and reflections stay in the Notebook until a student chooses to share one for critique.
Field tasks on Today, the 20-second display check, and the redesigned About page.
The screen and the light around you change what you see. A skippable 20-second check asks for neutral room light, brightness near the middle and Night Shift and True Tone paused, then shows six grey tones so you can confirm your display separates every step.

Colour Studio is not a display-calibration tool. Colour judgement depends on the screen and the lighting; the app asks you to prepare both but cannot check either for you. Its simultaneous-contrast scores are a model estimate, not a measurement of the learner, and the camera reads rendered colour rather than measuring a surface.
